The Westmoreland-Kent Baptist Association are hosting their annual pastor’s Prayer Summit and extends an invitation to all CABC pastors.
The retreat provides encouragement and opportunity for pastors to draw closer to God in the midst of challenging schedules. Says organizer Mark Hunter, “Being heavily involved in helping other people draw near to God, sometimes we struggle to be there ourselves. The Prayer Summit gives pastors and church ministry staff the opportunity to connect with our Saviour.”
The summit started as an Association event, but in recent years has attracted a growing number of pastors from other areas.
From its inception, the summit has been led by Kurt Mach, a pastor from Gig Harbor, Washington, who is also a trained facilitator. The format is flexible, where each person has the opportunity to pray aloud or listen quietly, sing or listen to those who are, spend time in meditation alone or chatting with pastoral friends old and new. Worship will be led by Kurt Parks, who is the pastor of youth and worship at Lower Coverdale Baptist Church.
The Prayer Summit will be held at Camp Wildwood from Sunday evening, Feb 24 until lunch on Tuesday Feb 26. Cost is $100 before Jan 25, and $110 after. For more information or to register, contact Mark Hunter .
