Resignation of Rev. Adrian Gardner

August 3, 2015

adrian-gardnerAfter faithfully serving with the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches as the Associate Director of Youth and Family Ministries since April 2013, Rev. Adrian Gardner has resigned from this role effective August 31, 2015. Adrian has also resigned as Associate Pastor of Grand Bay Baptist Church where he served for seven years. Adrian is accepting a call to serve as Global Discipleship Facilitator with Canadian Baptist Ministries beginning September 1, 2015.

We are excited for Adrian’s new role, but are very sad to see him leave our team. Adrian has played an important role in building youth and family ministry, equipping leaders and leading life-changing events in Atlantic Canada. This summer Adrian led Tidal Impact, which saw over 825 students and leaders engaged in changing lives and communities in Saint John and Moncton.

Rev. Dr. Peter Reid, CABC Executive Minister, comments on Adrian’s departure: “Adrian has certainly served the Youth and Family Ministries department well and has been a valuable member of our CABC Staff team. I consider Adrian to be one of our fine young pastoral leaders and he will be greatly missed. We are pleased that Adrian will be providing important leadership in our Canadian Baptist family and we wish he, Nicole and their family all the best in this new pursuit.”

Rev. Renée Embree, Director of Youth and Family Ministries, says “Adrian has lifted our eyes in Atlantic Canada, helping us to recognize how we all – young and old, big churches and small churches – can join God’s mission around us to youth, families and neighbourhoods. Adrian’s strong gifts of leadership, communication, team-building and his heart for God’s mission will be a blessing to CBM. While we are very sad to see him go, we are excited for the new opportunities his role at CBM will give him, youth and young adults, and our churches to join God’s mission around the world.”

Please join us in praying for Adrian and his family, Nicole, Eli and Grace as they make this transition and follow God’s leading in their lives.
