Ordination of Rev. Jennifer Rowsell

We are pleased to announce that Rev. Jennifer Rowsell was ordained to pastoral ministry by the congregation of The Journey Church on Saturday, November 3, 2012. Rev. Jen is currently serving as our Next Generations Pastor.

This was an exciting celebration with both Next Gens (Young Adult Band, Youth Drama, Children’s Choir, Next Gen Tech Team) and Former Gens (visiting pastors, TJC staff, ministry workers & board members) taking part. Jen was especially pleased to have Rev. Leanne Friesen, her former youth pastor, as special speaker.

The last ordination service held at TJC (formerly Allison Baptist) was for Rev. Dave Morehouse. Even more exciting is the fact that this is the first ordination by this church of a woman into pastoral ministry!
