Linda Naves Takes On New Role

January 14, 2013

linda-navesSince 1996, Linda Naves has been faithfully serving Canadian Baptist Ministries here in Atlantic Canada. Keeping an office in the CABC building in Saint John, Linda has visited many of our churches and has been a great source of information, wisdom & insight to the countless short term mission teams from our region.

She began as Atlantic Canada Deputation and Promotion Coordinator. Over the years her role developed into much more. Linda became the key resource person here in Atlantic Canada for questions about global field staff.

More recently Linda’s focus has been on helping to engage churches in short-term mission and other global discipleship programs (CBM Atlantic Church & Constituency Relations Coordinator). “What has remained constant throughout her tenure with CBM is a passion for God’s mission in the world and the desire to help nurture churches and individuals in their own global ministry endeavors.” (http://cbmin.org/cbm/archive?news_id=211)

Linda completed her role with CBM effective January 11, 2013. On January 14, she will begin a new role as Executive Manager of Grand Bay Baptist Church (Grand Bay-Westfield, NB).

As CABC staff we have certainly appreciated Linda’s presence here at the office. Over the years she has been a valuable and significant part of our team and her absence will be greatly noticed. We’ll miss you Linda but glad you’re not going far. May God richly bless you in your new endeavor with Grand Bay Baptist Church.
