Letter from CBAC President Mr. Doug McLeod: Executive Minister Search Committee

December 3, 2021

December 2, 2021

Dear Friends,

It is my privilege as President of the CBAC to bring you greetings in the name of Christ during this wonderful Advent Season. We join in preparation for renewal of our faith and for the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In September, the Council of the CBAC announced that Dr. Peter Reid indicated he would not seek another term as Executive Minister. Council has engaged in Succession Planning and appointed a Search Committee which has been diligently updating the Executive Minister Role Description and preparing to advertise the Search for a new Executive Minister. We indicated to you that our hope is to introduce a new Executive Minister to be affirmed at our Oasis Assembly in August 2022. At the same time, we will take the opportunity to celebrate the faithful leadership and service of Dr. Peter Reid.

In terms of a timeline, Council is releasing the Role Responsibilities and Position Posting which will be advertised over the next few weeks. The goal is to conduct interviews in the winter of 2022 and present a name to Council for approval in April 2022. Please click the following link to see the Role Responsibilities and Position Posting for the Executive Minister.

Would you join us in making this a serious matter of prayer as we look forward to a new era in Denominational leadership.

Thanks again for your interest and for your partnership in Mission!

Blessings for the Season,

Doug McLeod
CBAC President
