Evangelism Conference 2011

Dr. Jim Beverley

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jim Beverley will be the speaker at the 2011 Conference on Evangelism at the historic Fairmont Algonquin Hotel and Resort in St. Andrews, NB, October 3-6, 2011. Jim is Professor of Christian Thought and Ethics at Tyndale Theological Seminary in Toronto, Ontario, and will speak on the theme of “Sharing Christ in Pluralistic Canadian Society”.

This Conference on Evangelism will be the sixth such conference sponsored by the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches since 1999. The purpose each year has been two-fold – to focus our thinking on how to make an impact for Christ in this new millenium, and to provide a retreat experience for pastors and church leaders. Each year we have attempted to have a speaker with expertise in a particular area of relating to our culture, and this year with Jim Beverley is no exception. We will also be led in worship at the Conference by Brent Cummings and company, the worship team from the new Atlantic Community Church in Hampton, NB.
