CBAC Communications Manager Announcement

February 12, 2024

We are excited to announce the appointment of Rev. Gordon Dickinson as the new CBAC Communications Manager, starting April 1, 2024.

Gordon has the skills, character, and leadership we are looking for, and we are excited to add him to the team. Possessing a wide variety of experience in production, social media management, and website development, he is an inspiring communicator able to use many different media and platforms in a way that is creative, clear, and effective. Gordon has a BA in Communication Studies and an MDiv, and he was ordained in 2005 at Atlantic Community Church.

Through his small business, Cloudfire Creative, which he founded in 2009, Gordon has helped many churches, nonprofits, partners, and ministries. He has produced Canadian Baptist Ministries’ digital content for Shared Hopeful Gifts and built their SENT website to manage hundreds of annual mission participants preparing to travel worldwide. Gordon is ready to help the CBAC become more effective in our communication so that our family of churches can grow in our connections and networking.

For over two decades, Gordon has served in full-time ministry here in Atlantic Canada, including Atlantic Community Church (NB) and Cornerstone Baptist (PEI), and desires to help us thrive. Gordon has been at Cornerstone since 2012 – first as Pastor of Community Outreach and more recently as the Stratford Site Pastor. He has three children – Heather, Naomi, and Cameron. Gordon enjoys songwriting in his backyard tiny house, graphic design, woodworking, and exploring food and culture in Atlantic Canada and beyond.

Gordon shares his reflections on taking on this role:

“There’s something truly special about life and ministry here on the East Coast, and I’m happy to have the opportunity to help communicate a vision for what God is doing among us and how we can join in that together, by serving as CBAC’s Communications Manager. Having grown up in CBAC churches and served for over two decades as a pastor here, I understand the demands of ministry, the unique challenges we face, and how important it is to communicate effectively in the local church as well as throughout our region. For the past fifteen years, I’ve also had the opportunity to support churches and non-profits across Canada with creative communication resources, which I’m excited to be able to do more fully in this role. I believe this is an important time for CBAC that is full of potential. I’m looking forward to being part of the ministry team cultivating hope and vibrant ministry among our churches and neighbourhoods in Atlantic Canada.”

Take a moment and welcome Gordon to the CBAC Team!
