Atlantic Baptist Housing Update

March 7, 2013

Fairview CourtAtlantic Baptist Housing has seen some changes in recent months. You may have noticed that they changed their name from Atlantic Baptist Senior Citizens’ Homes Inc. (will continue as their legal name) to Atlantic Baptist Housing. This will make it easier to remember.

They have also just opened a new facility in North Sydney, Cape Breton, NS, called Fairview Court. Fairview Court is a beautiful new building and our volunteer board has put a lot of time, effort and planning into seeing this new project come to fruition. The facility boasts 4 1-bedroom apartments and 30 2-bedroom apartments all designed for independent living, comfort, and community. They are now available to rent. For more information You can read more in the brochure here: Fairview Court Brochure, or you can visit their website: http://atlanticbaptisthousing.com.abhousing-website

They have also launched a new website with a fresh new look aimed at providing more information about their available housing across Atlantic Canada. Check it out: http://atlanticbaptisthousing.com.

Gerald Ingersoll, Executive Director of Atlantic Baptist Housing, is excited about the new changes and what the future holds for the organization. “Atlantic Baptist Housing is looking to partner with any CABC church that has an interest in a housing ministry.” If interested, Gerald can be contact via their website: http://atlanticbaptisthousing.com.

Did you know? If you are a part of one of our 460+ churches in Atlantic Canada, you own Atlantic Baptist Housing. An organization that owns 13 locations with apartments for independent living, 3 locations for independent living and support, and 3 locations with nursing home care. Watch for a new facility opening in Shelburne in the coming months. This is all something to be proud of and we can give thanks to God.

Owned by the 460+ member churches in the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches, Atlantic Baptist Housing is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to providing quality living to seniors 55+ in independent apartment living, assisted living apartments and in nursing home care. But we are more than an organization – we are individuals who care deeply about what we do and the people we care for. We believe in taking excellent care of our seniors, through building communities, whether in quality living accommodations or in total nursing care. We encourage our communities to live well in mind, body and spirit.

As a charitable non-profit organization, our resources are invested into improving the lives and well-being of our residents. We firmly believe in Adding Life to Years, and strive to make each resident’s life brighter, healthier and happier.
