As part of a thoughtful leadership transition, the CBAC is beginning the search for a new Director of Connections, with the goal of having the successful candidate begin serving in January 2027. The candidate will be appointed by Council on an interim basis {Bylaw 4.06.(b)(xiv)}. The candidate will then be recommended by Council for appointment by the CBAC Assembly in August 2027 {Bylaw 6.03(d)(ii)}.
This timeline allows for several months of overlap with Rev. Dr. Greg Jones before his retirement at the end of August 2027. While Greg’s last active working day will be at the end of April, this overlap will provide time for intentional mentoring, knowledge sharing, and relational handoff, helping ensure a smooth transition for pastors, churches, and the CBAC Team.
Greg has faithfully served the CBAC since 2001, first as Regional Minister, later as Associate Executive Minister of Congregational Renewal, and most recently as Director of Connections. Across more than two decades of ministry, he has walked alongside countless pastors and churches with wisdom, encouragement, and deep pastoral care. We will have many opportunities in the coming year to celebrate Greg’s remarkable ministry and lasting contribution to the CBAC. For now, we invite you to pray with us as we begin the search for the next Director of Connections.
