September 30 offers us one specific moment in the year to pause, lament, repent, and imagine a hope-filled future.
Of course, we know that Truth and Reconciliation is more than one day a year, but must be an ongoing posture of learning and unlearning, of seeking truth and pursuing repair in both mind and action.
As followers of Jesus, we are shaped by a gospel that is making all things new and called into a “ministry of reconciliation.” This means that the work of truth and reconciliation is not peripheral to our faith; it is part of what it means to follow Jesus faithfully in the world.
As pastors and leaders, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation gives us an opportunity to create intentional space for our churches and communities to lean into this posture: to listen, lament, learn, and consider what faithful action might look like. We at CBAC invite you to take a moment to decide how you will engage this year with the NDTR, both on September 30th and as a continuous posture.

Masterclass – Land-based Repair with Jodi Spargur
Did you catch the Masterclass with Jodi Spargur in June? Jodi is a friend to CBAC in her role with CBM, catalyzing right relations with indigenous neighbours. In this Masterclass we facilitated back in June, Jodi shares concepts from her recent book “Mend.” Take time to consider how your church may engage in land-based repair.
