FRIDAY 3:30 PM
Scott Nash, Director
In this workshop we will explore what Celebrate Recovery is and who it can benefit. Since most of our life issues stem from past hurt and pain, those hurts lead to hang-ups and then to destructive behaviours we call habits. Remember, sobriety does not equal healing. Find out how to go from captive to surrendered, from bondage to freedom!
Rev. Dr. Seidel Abel Boanerges, Director of Doctoral Studies and Mentored Ministry, ADC
Rev. Tim McCoy, Mentored Ministry Facilitator, ADC
Atlantic Canadian churches have a long, rich tradition of hospitality, and it is one of the things we do best. However, as our communities change, many pastors are asking a deeper question: how do we move from a warm welcome to a lasting sense of belonging? This workshop draws on original research from congregations across Atlantic Canada that are actively navigating cultural and demographic change. This workshop is designed for pastors and church leaders who care deeply about their communities and want to be intentional about helping every person, longtime member and newcomer alike, find a genuine home in the body of Christ. You will leave with a practical framework and field-tested strategies to build a culture of true belonging.
Rev. Dr. Melody Maxwell, Professor in the Hannah Maria Norris Chair of World Christian History and Women in Ministry, ADC
Come hear from a panel of ordained women about their experiences in Baptist life. You will also learn more about Called to Serve, a podcast and research project that has interviewed around 100 Atlantic Baptist women in ministry.

The Ministry Apprenticeship Platform (MAP) offers a practical, local‑church approach to leadership development. Come with questions—leave with next steps for participation and partnership.
Dr. Grace Au, Director of Master of Arts in Theology Program, ADC
What kind of God do we proclaim when our churches are divided, our communities are changing, and ministry feels complicated? In Romans, Paul reminds us that theology is never abstract: his God-language is closely connected to his mission as apostle to the Gentiles. Together, we will explore how Paul names God as Father, Life-giver, and God of hope—and how Paul's theo-logy can shape our worship, welcome, and witness in a fractured world.

Every church begins with a calling to be one body in Christ, united in heart, mission, and devotion to Jesus. Yet as God’s work grows, there are seasons where that unity takes a new form: not division born of conflict, but multiplication born of obedience. This workshop is shaped by the lived experience of a multi-site church that prayerfully discerned a season of healthy separation, following the Lord’s leading into new expressions of ministry. What emerged was not fragmentation, but a deeper realization that the Church is strongest when it remains spiritually one, even when structurally distinct.

During the workshop we will explore the topic of evangelism on three fronts. The first focus will be on how God spiritually forms everyday believers to share their faith. The second focus will be on discerning from Scripture whose responsibility it is to share the Gospel. And finally, we want to look at very practically how do we proclaim the good news of Jesus in our everyday lives.

Tyler Proude, Montague Site Pastor, Cornerstone Baptist Church
Our vision for Riverside Church (currently Cornerstone Baptist Church-Montague Site, PEI) comes from the imagery of Psalm 1 as we want to be like a flourishing tree planted by streams of water. Thanks to a Vital Worship Grant from the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, we are spending this transition year rooting ourselves in Scripture and prayer, focussing specifically on the Psalms. Our year-long project, “Rooted and Growing Together: The Psalms for 2026,” includes Bible studies with multiple leaders, a children’s art project, a corporate art project, a Psalms Festival for local pastoral leaders, worship leader training, and more. As you hear our story, our hope is that you will be encouraged and inspired for your own church context.

This session offers both a theological introduction and a practical invitation to receive the distinctive wisdom Indigenous followers of Jesus bring to the life of the church.
