Masterclass – April 2026

April 14 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Faith Forward: Forming Leaders for the Future of Ministry

We know the landscape of ministry is changing rapidly. Churches face shifting cultural expectations, emerging technologies, declining institutional trust, and new opportunities for mission. What kind of leaders will the church need in the coming decadesโ€”and how must theological education adapt?

In this Masterclass, we will explore the future of theological education and the formation of pastors in a changing world. Drawing on current futures research, data from the Associationย of Theological Schools, practical experience in theological leadership, and emerging models of ministry training, this session will consider how seminaries and churches can partner to prepare resilient, mission-focused leaders for the future.

Rev. Dr. Anna M. Robbins is the President of Acadia Divinity College, additionally serving as the Dean of Theology for Acadia University, and the Dr. Millard R. Cherry Professor of Theology, Ethics and Culture. Anna is a leader committed to serving the mission of Christโ€™s church locally and globally, with faithful integrity that applies the gospel to real-life issues and relationships with justice, innovation, academic rigour, and joyful expectation. She has an international profile in theology and apologetics, ethics, and contemporary culture, and is sought after as a speaker and teacher.

Masterclass is a series of events from our CBAC Leadership Development department, seeking the transformation of our CBAC leaders through continued learning from world-class speakers. Sponsored by Crandall University.
