2017 Canadian Baptist Advent Reader

November 30, 2017

The fifth edition of the Canadian Baptist Advent Reader is now available online! We are thrilled to once again offer this resource. As Canadian Baptists, we are a part of something much larger our regions. Our family consists of the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada (CBWC), the Canadian Baptists of Ontario & Quebec (CBOQ), l’Union d’Églises Baptistes Francophones du Canada or French Baptist Union (UEFBC), and the CBAC. We all share Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) who oversees our international mission work. This project includes submissions from all these corners of our Canadian Baptist Family.

The Advent Reader is an opportunity to prepare ourselves to celebrate Christmas and join with our wider Canadian Baptist family in reflection, prayer and worship. Five of our own are featured in the Reader: Rev. Dr. Carol Anne Janzen (Acadia Divinity College/Port Williams Baptist), Rev. Erin Jackman (Stevens Road Baptist), Rev. Dr. Roger Graham (Forest Hills Baptist), Taylor Craig (St. George Baptist), and Rev. Gordon Dickinson (Cornerstone Baptist, PE). Thank you all for your contributions and blessing to our family nationally.

The 2017 Canadian Baptist Advent Reader contains a meditation for each day of Advent created by writers from the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada, CBOQ, the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada, L’Union d’Églises baptistes Francophones du Canada, and Canadian Baptist Ministries.

Thanks to the Canadian Baptists of Ontario & Quebec and their Communications Associate Jacqueline Solomon who has taken the lead on this project. We especially appreciate her skills with the design, layout, printing and distribution on this project.
