Acadia Divinity College (ADC) is pleased to welcome Dr. John McNally to serve as an Associate Director of Doctoral Studies and as a Lecturer in the practice of ministry.
John is no stranger to ADC. He earned an Acadia Doctor of Ministry degree and has taught in the Doctor of Ministry program. He also holds a Master of Divinity from Wycliffe College, Toronto School of Theology, University of Toronto, as well as a Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University.
John has ministry experience in several Canadian contexts, including Donway and Walmer Road Baptist Churches in Toronto, and as Senior Pastor of Kentville United Baptist Church since November 2001, where he will continue part-time for several months prior to becoming full time in this new role at ADC.
John’s heart for equipping and educating for excellence in ministry is evidenced through years of facilitating courses, classes, workshops, and retreats in such areas as spiritual gifts and calling, church health principles, spiritual formation, marriage preparation and enrichment, and practical ministry topics. His own learning and growth have been enhanced by participation in various networks such as being on the National Advisory Group for Natural Church Development in Canada.
John feels very blessed to be accompanied on his journey by wife, Catherine, and children, Rachel, Nathan, and Samuel. He especially appreciates spending time with his family enjoying God’s beautiful creation.
