hanwell-community-church-mortgage-burningHanwell Community Church: Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches, Inc., celebrated the burning of their mortgage on Saturday, November 1st, 2014 (All Saints Day), having paid it off earlier in May of this same year.

The pastor of Hanwell Community Church, Rev. Dr. Mike McDonald led the order of service, with prayers from the previous pastor, Rev. Dr. Perry Hanley, and the founding pastor, Rev. Laurie Fenerty. The event was preceded with an afternoon “ALPHA Holy Spirit” event, and was followed by a church pot-luck supper.

The church was originally formed in 1989, with the present church building having been completed in 1993. Hanwell Community Church received assistance from the CABC’s Atlantic Baptist Mission Board in the early years of it’s ministry.
