Masterclass – January 2026

January 27, 2026 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Holy Pixels: Navigating the Future of AI and the Local Church

From the pew to the pulpit, AI is everywhere. What does this technology mean for preaching, pastoral care, community life, and mission? In this engaging and provocative session, we will explore the cultural currents powered by AI, the opportunities and tensions they create, and the practical and theological implications for everyday ministry. Expect real examples and honest questions as we seek to plot new futures without losing the heart of the church’s calling.

Rev. John Campbell’s life is lived at the intersection of Faith, Fundraising, and Technology. Serving at Acadia Divinity College as the Director of Development as well as the Director of Technology for Education. John leads the faculty and staff in effectively using technology in and out of the classroom. He is passionate about using technology not only in educational settings but also in the local church’s ministry. Ordained in 2008, John has served in pastoral ministry for over ten years, including as the Youth and Young Adult Pastor of The Crossing Church (formally West End Baptist Church) in St. John’s, Newfoundland. John graduated from the University of New Brunswick (Bachelor of Computer Science), Acadia University (Master of Divinity), and the Arrow Leadership Program.
