The Fisheries Stand-off in Atlantic Canada: Understanding the Complexity of This Issue

Dr. Lois Mitchell, former CBAC Director of Public Witness & Social Concerns, has written a personal reflection on the current situation in western Nova Scotia. The Indigenous Relations Working Group of the CBAC is grateful to Dr. Mitchell for her contribution to this dialogue. Beyond her role on staff with the CBAC, Dr. Mitchell has served on the Racism Working Group and the Indigenous Relations Working Group. She is currently the Director of International Studies at St. Stephen’s University.
