Rev. Dr. George H. McNeill Honoured

Rev. Dr. George H. McNeill was recently honoured by the Bedford Branch #95 of the Royal Canadian Legion. The Legion Branch presented him with a certificate of appreciation to thank him for many years of service in Remembrance Day ceremonies by singing, leading and praying.

The 92-year-old was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was ordained in 1942 in Kelso, BC, and served as a chaplain in World War II in the 2nd Gloucesters Regiment, Scotland. He landed on D-Day and served in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, and finally in Soest.

In 1948 he immigrated to Canada and served Baptist pastorates in Nova Scotia and Moncton, NB

Rev. Dr. McNeill continues to serve as Pastor Emeritus of Bedford Baptist Church, Bedford NS.
