On Sunday February 3, 2008 First United Baptist Church in New Glasgow held a “Relocation Celebration Service” to dedicate their new facility.

The congregation moved from their former downtown location early in the new year after purchasing the former St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, which recently disbanded. The new site improved seating, parking and visibility. The new church is located on the corner of East River Road and Park Streets in New Glasgow and remains “The Friendly Church on the Corner.”

Present for the Relocation Ceremony were Minister Emeritus, Rev. Dr. Morley Shaw and dignitaries who extended greetings to the congregation on this move of faith. Guest speaker Rev. Dr. Harry Gardner gave a inspiring message called “Proceed with Confidence.” Special music, a fellowship time, a Ministry Fair and a tour of the facility were all part of the celebration.
