New Minas Baptist Church

On February 26, New Minas Baptist Church welcomed Anne Embree, Danielle Gates and Laura Ells to share their stories.

Anne was involved with The World Race last year, leaving Canada in January and travelling to 11 different countries in 11 months. During this time she shared her love for Jesus with both children and adults of many cultures. By giving her time and energy helping and ministering to these people, she encouraged missionaries from these countries, dug a fish pond in Nepal, played with children in an orphanage in India, witnessed to prostitutes in Thailand, and many more experiences that you can read about in more detail on her blog. All of these experiences not only benefited those she visited, but Anne was challenged in her own faith, learning how to live in community and work alongside others with similar passions.

Danielle has spent the last 5 years in Sydney, Australia, helping to develop a base there for Youth With A Mission. Danielle has an amazing gift of leadership and passion for evangelism. It is very evident that her desire is to follow and seek God’s will for her life. She began her work with this organization by participating in a Discipleship Training School and since then has invested time in staffing and leading other young people to give themselves fully to God’s leading. She is dedicated to spreading the gospel around the world and continues to shine in this time and place that God has given her.

Laura is currently a student at Crandall University and will be travelling to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia with Wycliffe Translators to teach at Bingham Academy, a school for missionary children. This is part of her education and we know that Laura will certainly be a blessing to these children as she shares her love of Jesus with them.
