The Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches is excited to announce that Andrew Glidden will be joining our team as the Associate Director of Youth and Family Ministries effective January 4, 2016.
Andrew is a church planter in Saint John, NB where he lives with his wife Courtney and children Audrey and Titus. He will continue to give leadership to the church plant, Rooftop (http://rooftopcommunity.com), combining it with this part-time role with the Youth and Family team.
Andrew brings rich experience in youth ministry, team ministry, church planting, event planning and missional living. We are excited to have him leading, encouraging and equipping our leaders of the next generation.
Rev. Renée Embree, Director of Youth and Family ministries shares, “I’m thrilled to have Andrew join our team. Andrew will help us get ‘legs’ under our vision. His passion for experimenting in inviting and equipping people to live as missionaries 24/7 through Rooftop will enrich our equipping of leaders so that they can join God in changing Atlantic Canada one neighbourhood at a time.” We truly believe God is inviting us to join Him in His mission in our neighbourhoods. God is going to change Atlantic Canada as church families show and tell the good news where they are. Andrew Glidden, reflecting on his new role says, “I believe that the Church doesn’t have a mission but rather God’s mission has a church. I’m excited to join God on His mission to change one neighbourhood at a time.”
Dr. Peter Reid, CABC Executive Minister, says, “I am so pleased with the work of the search committee and delighted with the appointment of Andrew to the Youth & Family Department. I believe Andrew will bring a unique perspective and a great deal of creativity to this ministry.”
Mr. Al McIsaac, President of the CABC Council adds, “I am excited about Andrew joining the Youth and Family Department. Andrew will bring new ideas and direction that will benefit our churches and their Youth and Family programs.”
Please join us in congratulating Andrew and praying for him in this transition.
