Living Last Supper

May 2, 2011

On Thursday April 21st, Westchester Baptist Church presented “The Night Jesus was Betrayed” (Living Last Supper) to the community.

The night started with the arrival to the upper room. Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”
The scene continued to the denial of Jesus made by Peter (while Peter was still speaking, the cock crowed. The Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him, “Before the cock crows today, you will deny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly).

12 men from the Westchester area participated, with help from the Westchester Weslyan Church. 77 people were in attendance.
