Havelock Dedicates New Building

September 6, 2013

havelock-baptist“Sometimes walking in our churches is like walking into a museum. We cannot build ministry today with past vision. Methods must change, but the message of Christ’s birth, death and resurrection must remain the same.”  -Lennett J. Anderson, Oasis 2013

Havelock Baptist Church was founded in 1836, and this is a historic time for us in the life of our church! On Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 3:00p.m., we are having a Dedication Celebration Service for our new building, the culmination of 10-15 years of planning, dreaming and sacrifice.

We are grateful to God for this beautiful building, which includes the worship center, gym and classrooms. We are also thankful to all who have contributed to the success of this worthy cause. Our prayer is that God will be pleased to use us and the building to accomplish his will. German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer stated, “Being a Christian is less about cautiously avoiding sin than about courageously and actively doing God’s will.”
