CABC is finally joining the world of blogging! This is just another way to engage our churches, pastors, leaders and communities in the missional conversation. The name of the blog is “fusi3on” but you’ll quickly notice a bit of a twist on the name incorporating what looks like a bit of math built into the name (“i3“). We’ll get to that in a minute.
The word “fusion” means the fusing or joining, merging together of different, diverse and distinct elements into one. We think that describes who we are and who God calls us to be as Atlantic Baptists. We are diverse as people, cultures, ideas and perspectives but we have come together for a common effort because we believe that what unites us is much more important than that which could divide us. We also believe that we can accomplish the mission of the church far more effectively together than we could ever do on our own.
Over the coming weeks you’ll hear phrases like “Healthy Churches…Missional Churches” and Impact, Infuse, Ignite (this is where the “i3” comes in). Impact Leaders. Infuse Culture. Ignite Mission. We’ll unpack these more in coming blog posts.
