The Sharpening Leaders Initiative (SLI) is provided by Arrow Leadership through the CBAC’s Leadership Development department. The SLI is a developmental journey to collectively and collaboratively develop your leadership capacity and capability. With innovative and Jesus-centered tools and training, you will build a culture of being led more by Jesus, leading more like Jesus and leading more to Jesus. SLI includes three (3) in-person summits (April, November 2025 & April 2026) along with webinars, learning communities and monthly connections.

The Sharpening Leaders Initiative will:

  • Equip you as a Jesus-centered leader who has practical skills to lead oneself, to lead with others and to lead within your organization.
  • Enable you to deepen high-trust, low-ego relationships with one another in the group that will impact your ministry and organization long term.
  • Create a common platform, language and experience to accelerate your ministry together.

All in-person sessions will be at Crandall University and are scheduled for the following dates:

  • April 9-11, 2025
  • November 3-5, 2025
  • April 20-22, 2026

Participants of the Sharpening Leaders Initiative can receive credentialed recognition from ADC for their work. You can request to apply this to a micro-credential, graduate-level credit, or post-graduate level credit.

Application Information

We are currently accepting up to 40 participants, and may be able to add additional spots if there is enough interest.

The Sharpening Leaders Initiative offers an opportunity to access the Arrow Leadership program at substantial savings. Individuals taking the program in BC or another site would cost between $9,500 and $15,500 plus travel. SLI offers a similar Arrow experience at a fraction of the cost, which is valued at over $1750 per participant. We’re able to further reduce the cost for those in the CBAC through a generous grant from the Atlantic Baptist Foundation as well as generous sponsorship from Crandall University. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to offer this again in the future at this low price.

Cost

Register and pay before November 15, 2024:

CBAC Pastors: $275

Register and pay after November 15, 2024:

CBAC Pastors: $300

Payment

Once your acceptance into the program has been confirmed, you will be contacted to make payment.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

  1. Pay in full by Fall 2024 via credit card or mail a cheque
  2. Split payment, $150 in 2024 and the remainder in January 2025
