Churches are being called to reckon more honestly with our histories\, and our roles in systems that have caused harm. But many of us are overwhelmed and don’t know how to take the next steps in a journey of reconciliation.  \nIn this Masterclass\, we will draw on the theological and ethical framework developed in Mend: An Invitation from Jesus to Return to Land-based Repair. This session invites participants into a deeper engagement with the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19 and how we can address the needs of right relationship in our own communities\, whether we are in touch with Indigenous neighbours or not. We will also explore new frameworks for leaving a lasting legacy when churches are facing closure. \nJodi Spargur lives on unceded Coast Salish territories in the city of Vancouver\, where she has worked as a farmer\, pastor\, and catalyzer for justice and healing between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Peoples. After completing an MDiv at Regent College in 2003 she pastored and church planted with the CBWC in Vancouver and in 2015 launched Red Clover Initiatives\, a non-profit network fostering Indigenous-led local actions for healing\, justice\, and right relations. Jodi is currently a PhD candidate with NAIITS: An Indigenous Learning Community\, exploring Indigenous theology and Christian ethics.
